“Based in Malta.” That’s the opening line on BK8’s About Us page. Global team, cutting-edge tech, the standard pitch you’d expect. Scroll down though, past all the sponsorship photos, and the actual licensing paragraph says something else entirely: “BK8 is operated by Mettlemind Tech Ltd., registration number 15779, with registered address at Hamchako, Mutsamudu, Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros,” under license ALSI-202504032-FI2. Malta and Anjouan aren’t remotely the same tier of oversight. Worth knowing that before taking either line at face value.

Money talks louder than the licensing confusion, though. Aston Martin Aramco F1, Global Partner through 2028. Gresini Racing MotoGP, Title Sponsor, same end date. BWF badminton, Presenting Partner across three major 2026 events at once. Older deals with Aston Villa, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Valencia, Athletic Club. Manny Pacquiao does the honors for the Philippines side specifically. A lot of cash going into visibility for a brand running on a Comoros license.

On the install side: real native Android package, 29.7MB, version 3.5.0 when tested, passed a built-in virus scan and counterfeit check before it even launched. Odd detail worth flagging, the package name itself has nothing resembling “bk8” in it. Easy to grab the wrong thing if you’re not careful hunting down a BK8 download.

Brief on App Functionality (Betting Line)
